What a day we have had! Our first stop today was The Roman Army Museum and whilst there we visited a Roman classroom where we met our Roman teacher Velius Longus, we had a very entertaining lesson and learned several Latin phrases. Whilst there, we also watched a 3D movie which enabled us to understand what life was like for soldiers on the northern frontier. After this, we then headed for Vindolanda where we explored many Roman forts and met an archaeologist who informed us what these ruins used to be. The staff at Vindolanda complimented the behaviour of the children and a lovely day was had by all!
