Year 3 Computing

Oct 13, 2020Computing, Year 3

This half term, we have been learning about e-safety and what we can do to keep ourselves safe online. We began with making sure we know not to give out any personal details to people on games and other areas of the internet and what to do if we feel ‘funny’ about something someone has said – tell a trusted adult!

In the last couple of weeks we have been exploring making our own webpages (not for real – only as a practice!) to understand just how easy it is for someone to publish anything online. Whilst we’ve had good fun reading about the Tree Octopus and making up our own fantastical creatures to write about, we’ve gained a good understanding about what to trust when we find information on the internet. We know we need to check facts on reliable/trusted websites to make sure the information isn’t trying to trick us.
