We all had fun yesterday celebrating our rescheduled World Book Day. Everyone looked great in their PJs and onesies and the children enjoyed taking part in a range of activities to promote their enjoyment of books and reading. It was particularly pleasing to see our older children sharing a book of their choice with their younger counterparts and bringing it to life with their expressive reading. We trust that the children all brought home their book token at the end of the day to spend at many local book stores such as WH Smith.

A huge thank you to all those parents and children who very kindly donated their unwanted books to enhance our school library and designated reading areas in school. The number brought in was truly amazing and there was a range of interesting fiction and non-fiction books which will undoubtedly appeal to the children.
