A box full of crayons, some broken, some short, some without wrappers and some unused! Most of them are extremely unhappy and want to quit!

Over the past three weeks, Year 2 have enjoyed reading the fabulous book ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’ by Drew Daywalt. We began by using drama to show how the different crayons felt, check out our fabulous freeze frames.

We then got into the role of Duncan (the owner of the crayons) and wrote letters to persuade the different crayons to come back home. We concluded our unit of work by writing book reviews and after reading them it is evident that all of Year 2 enjoyed this book.
