What a fantastic turnout from children, staff and parents alike in support of our Sport Relief appeal. The school was awash with lots of sporting attire on show. All told, we raised the grand sum of £539. During the day, the children enjoyed taking part in a variety of sporting activities, which culminated in our one mile walking challenge.

A number of our children started the walk by running the full 1 mile course. Well done to everyone who took part and especially Ollie Harrison who came first (5mins 54secs), Matthew Wright in second place (6.04) and Euan Harrison third (6.09). Our very own Mr Foreman, who is or was a keen runner, took part too. Sadly, he was left lagging behind his younger fellow competitors.

We would also like to say a special thank you to the children from Kingsmeadow Secondary School for marshalling the race, many of whom are ex-pupils of Dunston Hill. Also a massive thank you to Newcastle United for allowing Monty the mascot to be part of our special community event.
