What is Mental Health?
Our mental health is so important: it affects how we think, feel and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of our life and we must look after it and make it a priority.
We know it can be really difficult sometimes to focus on the ‘here and now’, so we thought this activity that we was a lovely way to help our children focus. They added all of the things to a picture that they will be freeing from their mind in order to really focus on the here and now.
What kind of thing usually keep your brain busy? It might be a TV show you like to watch, a game you like to play… everyone’s will be different! The children understood that their picture might look very different to their friends’ – they thought about different likes and dislikes, about different hobbies and interests. They made their pictures really represent them.
