Explaining Covid-19 to Children
We realise that discussing COVID-19 with children can be difficult and explaining the messages of social distancing, washing hands and the need to stay indoors.
‘The Gruffalo’ creators Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler have shared twelve beautiful illustrations depicting their famous characters adjusting to social distancing, home-schooling and helping others during the COVID-19 crisis, as well as Scheffler illustrating a free coronavirus booklet aimed at children.
Below are links where you can find these illustrations and booklet to help discuss the current situation at home. We hope that you find them useful. However, if you need any further help, please feel free to contact your year group teacher via the email address.
