Kung hei fat choy! Because this weekend was Chinese New Year, the start of the Year of the Rat, we had a special afternoon of Chinese-based activities, the best of which was tasting some delicious Chinese food! We tried vegetable spring rolls, egg fried rice, noodles with chicken and spring onion – chow mein, and even had a couple of prawn crackers too. We have been hearing some different versions of the Chinese zodiac story throughout the week since some of the children did this as part of their homework. Thank you to those children who explained the story! We have loved learning about this religious and cultural festival.
