Please can you have a look at home for Bobby's school jumper. It may have been taken home with your child by accident after PE. It has his name in. Thank you for your help.
Can you believe...after exploring the frogspawn in our environmental garden, we had a visitor come to early years. Whilst some of us were playing outside we discovered a large frog sat by the decking area. It was a lovely surprise and Mrs Guyan helped us catch him...

We would like to thank you all so much for coming along to our Sports Day yesterday afternoon, we really appreciated your support and encouragement! The children had so much fun and all took part working together in their teams! We had an ice lolly this afternoon as a special treat for us doing so well on our 1st Sports day! Good job everyone!!
What a visit! We had a great afternoon in Tesco today… exploring behind the scenes, looking at hiow they made, bread, seeing how cold it was in the freezer and fridges, looking at the ish that they have for sale and finding out about the fruit and vegetables that are on offer, not to mention all the food samples we tried.
All of the children worked really hard and were a credit to Dunston Hill. Thank you for a great visit RP, you did yourselves proud.
We have thoroughly enjoyed getting ‘one with nature’ in Reception recently. We have been host to some tadpoles and caterpillars. Today was the day we set our butterflies free to explore the wonderful world around us. All the children participated and it has been great to observe their care and respect for all living things.
We have had great fun raising money for Red Nose Day today! We even enjoyed some special Red Nose Day biscuits! Delicious!!
It was great fun to go and see the chicks in nursery this week. One even hatched while we were watching. We decided to call him Fluffy Liam!
Well done to all the Reception children who had their bikes in school today to work with Bike It Ben. Ben was very impressed with everyone’s performance and nearly all cracked the tricky bike balancing act… great job!
Some of the boys and girls in Reception were chosen to attend a Ball Skills session at Kingsmeadow on Friday. All the children were a credit to our school as they thoroughly enjoyed themselves, whilst showing good listening skills and trying each activity with enthusiasm. Well done Reception, lets now see those ball skills developing further in our outdoor classroom too!

We hope you have a wonderful February half term holiday. We look forward to seeing you back at school on Monday 27th February.
We used oranges to make our own natural juice. We talked about where the oranges come from and that they might grow in some hot countries. We used a squeezer to make the juice and then tasted it. Some of us thought it was delicious but some of us thought it was very sour!
We had such an amazing time at our Valentines disco. We danced to our favourite songs with our friends and the other boys and girls in Key Stage 1.
PC Gaulton paid us a special visit in Reception. He talked to us about how the Police work hard to keep us safe and who we should ask for help when we need it. We were very fortunate to try on some of his equipment and learn all about what he uses the different things for.
Look at our cress!
We have started to grow our very own cress plants! We have talked about what our plant needs to help it to grow! We have been remembering to water them to make sure they grow!
We made pizza using our favourite ingredients! We talked about the different pizzas we have eaten at home and what we like most about them!

As always, remember we have an open door policy. This means that we are always available to talk about any questions you have about your child, each morning and each evening.
