Here Comes the Sun!

Welcome back this week to the children, what a busy week we have had, making the most of the weather. We made Forest Faces and explored the tadpoles in the Environmental Area, we learned all about Shapes in maths and looked for them in the clouds, and we even tried a...

Easter Fun!

RF enjoyed linking our learning to Easter last half term, including finding a mysterious giant egg and going on an egg hunt! Thank you to everyone who joined in with the egg decorating competition, and to complete their creative homework, there were some amazing...

Go Team RF!

This week RF have had another busy one! On top of last week's sterling effort to create our cat in the hat story-door, we got busy helping our class bear, Pam, win a prize, by learning all about Estimation, and creating repeating animal patterns in maths. We...

Welcome to our class page. Here you will be able to see the exciting things we have been doing in school, up to date information on dates and special events. Please visit us from time to time and find out what we have been up to!

Happy New Year to you all! The children have returned to school settled into their usual routine, we have been very proud of them, they have been excited to share their news from their Christmas Holiday.

Our PE sessions have now changed to “Little Kickers” which will now take place on a Tuesday morning. Could we please have a named pair of plimsolls or trainers in school.

New creative homework will be coming out this Friday (the 12th of January).

We will be visiting the environmental area each Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs Fearby and Mrs Walton.

We would like to thank you all for your continued support this term, and many thanks for your kind gifts and the lovely cards.

Your children have worked extremely hard throughout, and we have really enjoyed getting to know each other!

No homework will be coming home over the Christmas Holidays, we will send the new Creative homework out in January.

We all hope you have the most fantastic Christmas and all the very best wishes for 2018.

Mrs Fearby and Mrs Walton.

Just a little reminder that you can pick your child up from 2.30pm tomorrow (8th December) for the Christmas Fayre that will be held in the hall.

Quick update:

Library swap shop (changing the children’s books) will now happen on a Tuesday morning.

We will soon be visiting the environmental area every week. Could we please have a named pair of wellies in school. Now the colder weather has started we do go out in all weathers so please send in hat, scarves and gloves with their names in too. Thank you.

Letters for parents evening have come home with the children, we look forward to seeing you all next Tuesday or Wednesday evening.

This years Autumn disco is on Thursday 19th October 4pm-5pm. £1 Entry, We will open the classroom door and bring the children into their classroom and take them down to the hall altogether. Children are to be picked up outside their normal classroom at 5pm.

Please could you make sure your child has a bag in school everyday with their new reading diary, as we will be reading with them at school too. These are great to help the children put their letters and own pictures in to make it easier to bring everything out at home time. If you would like a school book bag speak to a member of the office team.

Thank You.

Mrs Fearby and Mrs Walton

A huge thank you to everyone who came to our meet the teacher meeting. It was lovely to see so many parents and grown ups special to our children. For those who could not make it, if we could please have a named water bottle in school and a named pair of wellies to leave on the rack. PE sessions are on every Thursday morning, so please try to put on clothes that are a little easier for the children to dress and undress independently on that day.

Thank you.

Just a little reminder that Reception’s ‘Meet the teacher meeting’ is this Thursday 28th September at 9.15am.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our school lunch today, we have all done very well, independently getting our knives and forks and carrying our tray to the hatch. We have been working hard on using our knives and forks and cutting up food up ourselves.

Just a reminder that those children who stayed for dinner this week will be coming on the afternoon and those sessions start at 12.45pm, using the normal gate, and those who have not stayed for dinner yet will be moving to the morning session which starts at 9am.

We would like to say a huge well done to all the children for their first week in Reception, they have settled into their new class brilliantly! We are very proud of them! We hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Mrs Fearby and Mrs Walton.
