Thank you to everyone who joined us for lunch on Friday. I am sure you will all agree that our Reception children have very quickly picked up the routines of selecting their own lunches and collecting their tray and cutlery before being served at the hatch. We are...

Welcome to Class RCY page. Here you can find what we have been up to and any important information or changes you need to know. Reading Diary and Reading Books

As mentioned in our ‘Meet the Teacher’ session this morning, over the next week we will be sending home your child’s reading diary along with a reading book for you to share with your child. The books might be popular story books or picture books. Please spend some time sharing the stories with your child or making up stories linked to the pictures.

In school, we will read with your child once a week and record a message in their reading diary. We would really appreciate it if you could read with your child and make a short comment in their diary too. Your child’s book will be changed once a week and they will be given a set day to both read with a member of staff and select a new book of their choice. Their reading/book change day will be printed in their diary.

We ask that reading dairies are in school each day. Thank you for your continued support. If you have any questions then please let us know.

Happy reading!

Monday 15th October – Mud Glorious Mud – Today some of our children explored the mud kitchen and made mud pies complete with gravy. They were very good at putting on their suits and they worked very well together! Dont worry, school photographs were taken this morning when all of the children were spotlessly clean! Enjoy having a look at our photographs.
