Nursery love to read

We had a fun visit from Gateshead Library services.  Maria who works there, read us some funny books which we all enjoyed joining in with the chants.  We listened so well, and she gave us our own copies to take home as well as left some for us to read in Nursery....

More fun at the farm!

The Nursery team couldn't resist putting more photographs onto our class page.  We hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we have.

The rain stayed away at the farm.

We've had a great and exciting day at the farm.  We rode on a bumpy tractor ride, held chicks, rabbits and guinea pigs as well as fed lambs and sheep.  We loved meeting Peppa and her baby piglets and a treat was a refreshing ice lolly followed by a some soft play....

WELCOME TO YOUR NEW NURSERY CLASS PAGE

We would like to offer a warm welcome to all our Nursery children and their families.

It is wonderful to see them arriving with smiles on their faces eager to explore and play with each other.

A reminder that morning nursery is 8.30-11.30.  We ask that you bring your child into Nursery and settle them with their key worker.  At the end of the day you will once again be welcomed into Nursery to collect your child and find out about what they have been doing.

This page is exclusively for morning Nursery children and over the next few weeks we will be adding lots of photographs and information to keep you updated on what is happening.

Please check regularly to spot some busy, smiling faces!

Thank you to all of our wonderful parents who took the the time to discuss your child’s progress at this week’s parent’s consultations.  We hope you enjoyed looking through your child’s online learning journey as much as we valued sharing these special moments with you.  If you were unable to make your appointment or would like to discuss anything further, please do not hesitate to speak to member of the Nursery team.

We would also like to thank you for coming to our ‘Read, Write, Inc.’ Workshop and hope that you found this useful in supporting your child’s reading at home.  Once again, if you have any queries on any aspects that were covered then please get in touch so we can help you.

Paper cut of children read a book under tree on old book

We hope you and your child are enjoying reading your borrowed books from Nursery. Please remember that you can borrow a book any time – simply return the previous one and your child can choose another!

DON’T FORGET YOUR WELLIES!

wellingtonsPlease remember to bring a pair of wellies that can be left in Nursery if you haven’t already done so, and ensure your child’s name is on them.  The Nursery team would like all children to experience playing with mud and water without getting our uniforms dirty. The children really do thrive and become fully engaged in such play. We have already had a great deal of fun playing in our mud kitchen this week and splashing in and out of muddy puddles.

03Don’t forget to come along to our ‘stay and play’ session on Wednesday 30th November at 10:30-11:30. Here you will find about what your child likes to do and who with as well as have lots of fun of course! Don’t forget to wrap up warm as many of our children love to play in the outdoor area. We look forward to seeing you there and will make sure we have plenty of biscuits to end our fun day!

Happy New Year!

The Nursery team are very excited about welcoming our new friends from tomorrow.  We loved getting to know you during our ‘stay and play’ sessions last week and can’t wait for you to explore your new environment as well as making new friends!
