Bienvenida, Rosita!

We love learning languages in 3Be, so it was a real placer (pleasure) to have a visit from Rosita, our Spanish amiga! Claude loved having a new friend, and we all enjoyed learning a few words in Spanish! Gracias for your...

Our Mysterious Egg!

Wow! What an egg-citing few days we have had in Year 3! We couldn't believe it when our English lesson was interrupted by Miss Briggs with a special delivery for us! Miss Briggs entered our classroom carrying an unusual looking object and inside...

World Book Day – Book-Cycle

We will once again be celebrating Work Book Day on Thursday 1st March when the children will be engaged in a range of activities to promote their love of reading. The children are invited to come dressed in their PJs or onesies together with their favourite book. They...

Fossils

To help us understand the process of fossilisation, we used plasticine and shells to create our own natural moulds, and then filled these with plaster of Paris to mimic the effect! We can't wait to check in next week to see our fossils!

Judo Taster Session!

Welcome to our class page! Keep checking in to find out what exciting things we have been up to!

Our Topic this half term is…

The Stone Age!

We would really appreciate any resources or artefacts that anyone has linked to our topic. I know the children would love to share and see these items. Thank you!

Weekly Reminders

Monday – Forest School

Outdoor clothing and wellies are provided by school.

Tuesday and Thursday – PE

Our PE unit is Rugby. Children are required to wear tracksuit bottoms or shorts, a t-shirt in their house colour and a suitable change of shoes.

Every week, children will bring home spellings to learn for the following week. Please support your child with these at home.

Times tables will be taught through Timestables Rockstars. The children all have their own login which they can use both in school and at home.

(Topmarks – Hit the Button is a another brilliant game children can play online to support their Maths learning!)

We also ask that your child spends at least ten minutes a day reading at home to support their reading in school. They should bring their reading book back into school each day.

We appreciate all of your help and support. As always, should you have any questions or queries, do not hesitate to contact a member of the Year 3 Team.
