Welcome to Year 2!

I hope everyone has had a lovely Summer and enjoyed the glorious sunshine! We are all ready and raring to go in Year 2 with an exciting year ahead of us. We cannot wait to get started! Our door is always open so please do not hesitate to come and see us if you have any questions or queries.

Handy reminders:

  • Reading – Please listen to your child read at home and sign their diaries when their books are ready to be changed. We love hearing what else they have read at home to please feel free to add anything else into their diaries e.g. magazines, leaflets, web pages, newspapers etc.
  • Spellings – New spellings will be sent home on a Friday and should be practised for a quiz the following Friday.
  • PE kits – PE Kits should be kept in school and will be sent home at the end of the half term. Our PE days will be a Tuesday and a Thursday. PE kit should contain a pale blue T-shirt, black/navy shorts and appropriate footwear.
  • Water bottles – all children should have a water bottle in school that they take home on a Friday and bring back on Monday. 
  • Please name all items of uniform to avoid mix ups 🙂
