Our Autumn Walk!

We had a glorious walk on Wednesday afternoon to observe the changes that happen in Autumn! We made sure we were wrapped up to keep us warm in the crisp air!

European Day of Languages!

The children had a lot of fun on European Day of Languages! We were lucky to have some in-class language experts to teach us how to say 'Hello' in different languages and then we tried our hand at some Spanish colours! The children loved finding out about...

We’re Going on a Bear Hunt!

We have loved reading the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt!' in English! The children did a brilliant job of using their storyteller voices and super actions to bring their part to life!

Welcome to 1B!

A huge welcome back to the children in 1B! We have had a brilliant first week in school and the children have settled well into their new routines in Year 1. Mrs Neve and Miss Bunce have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the children! We have a fun and exciting year ahead so please keep checking our class page for updates and photos of what we have been learning! As always, please contact a member of the Year 1 team should you have any questions or queries.

Weekly Reminders

On Monday afternoons, the children will have PE. They will need T-shirts, shorts and plimsolls.

Children will have Forest School on Tuesday afternoons. They will need: an old coat, preferably waterproof; a hat; old jeans/tracksuit bottoms (waterproof if they have them) and wellies, ideally, or old shoes.

Children have been sent home with a reading book and will receive their Reading Diary as soon as we get them in school. Please read with your child as much as possible and sign their diary. There is a box in the classroom for children to put their finished reading books in and they will receive a new one to take home.

Please ensure that your child has a water bottle in school.

Creative Homework has been sent home and we hope you enjoy completing some of the tasks together! If children could please return their homework books on the check point dates as indicated in their books so we can mark and return them. This will keep you and your child updated with their progress towards their 15 point target. We hope many of the children receive a certificate at half term for meeting or exceeding this target!
