Year 2 have been getting to grips with statistics and data handling over the last two weeks. We have explored how to complete a tally chart – we can use our 5 times table to help us count the data quickly – as well as deciding which is the most and least popular choices. Next, we considered pictograms and how a key was important to deciding what each picture represented – was it 1, 2, 5 or 10? Lastly, we have looked at bar chart. We even created a 3D bar chart using cubes to represent 2J’s favourite colours. We used it to decide the difference between the votes for two different colours and also the total of more than one colour option.
