In PSHE in 5O, we spent time thinking about how to know when we are safe and unsafe. We discussed ‘Early Warning Signs’ that our bodies might use to tell us when something is unsafe. Examples were: a knot in your stomach, your heart pounding and sweating palms. The children were great at recognising the importance of listening to their bodies and their ‘gut feelings’. We then discussed how to deal with these feelings and who we can talk to, to help us feel safe again.
