This half term we have been learning a lot about geometry: what a right angle is, understanding that acute angles are smaller than a right angle and obtuse angles are greater than a right angle, learning how to draw 2D shapes and finally how to describe and make 3D shapes. We used what we had learned about the edges, faces and vertices of a number of 3D shapes and created the ‘skeletons’ of these shapes using straws for the edges and blu-tak for the vertices. Our friends had to guess which shapes we were making based on the shape of the faces created and deciding if they were correct when it was finished. Here are some of the masterpieces from today.
